As a 62 year old who has been a loyal fan since childhood of both teams (although my first visit to Detroit was this summer), I will take the brutal seasons the Tigers have had because they have been to the World Series and won during my fandom. The Lions, honestly, inspire little emotion at all. The most excited for the Lions in my memory was their 0 for season. Hey, at least they never lost a Super Bowl.
