Definitely start with the free trial. Maybe even do it for a month or two

and see what you think. Since there are no contracts, giving YouTubeTV a try isn't a commitment like Satellite can be. No reason you have to cancel cable while trying out YouTube.

I gave it shot just to access to Cobra Kai last year. Discovered it was awesome and almost half the price of cable. No regerts.

So far, I've only had three issues I can recall with YouTubeTV:

A couple of VT games were on regional broadcast last year, and the local station that carried them was a CW affiliate. YouTubeTV has CW on-demand content, but not a live-feed of your local CW station. I had to watch those games on the ACC website on a computer instead. Annoying, but not horrible.

YouTubeTV didn't carry any of the channels that aired Battlebots. But they do now. That was the one show on cable I cared about that I couldn't get.

Their DVR will sometimes swap out a recording with the on-demand version. Not a huge deal, but I had one show on NBC where the on-demand version was horrible. It still had all the commercial breaks, I think they were longer than when it aired live. Every break was 7 commercials...and it was the same 7 commercials every time. And you couldn't FF or RW past a commercial. So heaven forbid you want to go back and re-watch something or you'll get slammed with another 3 minutes of commercials.

It seems to have gotten better about not replacing recordings with on-demand versions in the last year. But for some broadcasts, it was awful back in 2018.

Going forward, not sure how the ACCN will fit in with YouTubeTV. They haven't picked it up yet, but carrying sports networks seems to be a priority for them. They sure seem to carry just about every other sports channel I can think of.
