I think they do via economy of scale


They pack a whole lot of capability in a fairly inexpensive package, and they move a lot of Vettes. The C8 will take that to there next level. Have read the base model is not going to be that much more expensive than the base C7, so they are going to sell a lot of them. Heard they're opening a second shift on the Vette production line.

Hopefully the C6 & C7 prices will continue to drop on the used car market.
