said Fuente was a bad coach (I think the jury is out on whether or not he is P-5 caliber), I never said I didn't think there wouldn't be bumps in the road (that is an obvious caveat to a new staff), and I never insinuated that I thought Beamer was crushing it during the last few years of his tenure.

I do think its a fools errand to look for any sort of progress with the program at 8-4, let alone 7-5 (sheesh) with this schedule. VT has the worst schedule of any P-5 school. 8 wins should be the absolute minimum expectation, and would show little to no progress IMO.
