Wilson took over a program that had marginal success with Chris Riley.
Riley resigned mostly due to family matters, but the program had stagnated. Wilson honored the scholarships for the last batch of recruits that committed to Riley. The first year wasn’t good, but the second year was better with better talent and what appears to be an upward trajectory for the program. This program was not in a position to be a quick fix and it will probably be at least one or two more years before we can accurately assess the program’s track. Wilson is a good coach and knows her stuff.
