WW2 buff's: Ever heard of the Ramree Island Crocodile massacre?

Brits successfully invaded Ramree off the coast of Burma to use it as an air base. 1000 Japanese retreated through a mangrove swamp loaded with crocodiles. Half of them were eaten. Brits paralleling the swamp in offshore boats could hear their screams.
