Nobody would just on the surface say that losing half your recruits is a positive indicator for the program but, in context it might just be the result of the program making advances. Early in a transition coaches are often forced to take what is available just to be competitive and "stop the bleeding" until they can get their recruiting plan firmly in place. If he was losing half and had no solid prospects coming in or continues to lose half each year over an extended period the concern would be much higher. I think at this point it is still a wait and see mode, however, the window for the "transition allowance" is shrinking.
