Szefc had a great run at MD, almost making the College World Series, sure they played in the low end baseball world of the Big 10. His record at MD got him the Tech job. But the ACC is no big 10 in baseball, they are a premier league loaded with talent. Great hitting and pitching prospects go to programs further south, Szefc will get his share of them, but all the planets need to be aligned for Tech to ever challenge for an ACC title. Honestly I don't think any coach out there could blaze a trail to a Tech ACC Championship. Coach makes around 450k, Whitt's not gonna eat that contract.
