I think your guess is right.


I don't know freestyle rules very well. (Of course, I also don't know folkstyle rules that well, either.) But it looks like the ref first credited Frayer with a takedown (5-5) pulling Lavallee over on his side with about 0:05 left and then exposure (7-5) at the buzzer. In between the two, Lavallee is on top with Frayer on his butt holding a headlock. If they erased Frayer's takedown and gave it to Lavallee, that would explain a 7-5 final.

The only other possibility I could see is if they erased the exposure (which was literally right at 0:00) and somehow gave both of them 2 before.

FloArena has them giving Frayer 2 at 0:04 and then giving Lavallee a pair of 1's with no time.
