and we shared a locker room as well. Every day we got a rolled up towel, a stretched out gray shirt and crappy blue leggings to practice in. And there was an injury on a daily basis from someone banging into the large support pillar that was in the middle of the practice room.

High schools had better set ups than what we had back in those days. Where things stand now is so far on the opposite end of the spectrum that it is beyond belief.
