Wrestlestat has #6 Gfeller over #48 Blees 8-4. Blees is a little underrated here. I think NCCAT seeds have it about right at 7 seed vs 26 seed.

I would like to think the RSr would have the advantage over a RFr, but that is not the case.

Gfeller has a wide neutral stance and definitely puts a lot of weight on his heels. Not much of a shooter and if shot on can be taken down; however, he is very good with the stalemate counters and scrambling and does not give up TDs easily. This does not bode well for Blees, because if Blees finds the courage to shoot, he will have a hard time finishing. Gfeller loves the Granby type rolls when on bottom or when trying to get out of danger...perhaps Blees can catch him here. Also, loves to go for the cradle. Strong rider that can accumulate a lot of RT especially against a Blees type wrestler. Gas tank is questionable going to third period.

This looks like a 4 TD match with 3 escapes and RT for a 9-3 loss for Blees. I think wrestlestat prediction is on the money. Blees has a chance if he can find some offense and get the first TD, but just does not seem to be his nature. Also, if Blees can get it into third in neutral position down only 2 pts, he has a chance based on the bigger gas tank.
