My dog broke her right hind leg a couple days ago (apparently a super weird injury right at the hock) and two different vets have suggested she have the joint plate fused or keep a QuickSplint on it for 6 weeks minimum. I'm in Richmond and I'm looking at pricing out the surgery, but so far I've only contacted and requested pricing from VVSA.

I've heard that veterinary surgery costs can vary depending one where it's done, mostly that it's possibly less expensive in rural areas. So far, the rural vet hospitals I've contacted aren't capable of doing this surgery. Any ideas you might have would be appreciated.
