"He gets on base" - Moneyball


We haven't hit GREAT pitching too well; however the readers should learn "getting on base" is a key ingredient to success.

Our BB and HBP has set the tone for good RBI opportunities. Don't get caught up on average. follow OB%. This shouldn't discount Carson Taylor's performance(Stellar).
Team has a .445 OB% - THAT WINS!!!


Pitching has been special due to one main ingredient..we are throwing more strikes.
TEAM HAS A 1.75 ERA - THAT WINS!!!


What does "more strikes" do:
decreases errors (field is more active)
decreases opponent BA
gives 9 players a chance to make an out


What does "less strikes" do:
increases errors (standing around creates stagnant fielding)
increases opponents BA
it's defensless

Brisk-ee has been a great surprise. 100mph balls (consistently) is useless in 2018.

100mph strikes (consistently) in 2019 is a future draft pick and a huge confidence lift to the entire team.

That kid has the potential to be special.
