The article I'd read earlier (not sure if same one) implied that...

...someone at the other table heard Lambert/friend's comment about millenials and confronted her friend in the bathroom, with the argument moving back to the table where Lambert was. I can easily see Lambert/friend making that statment, because they are definitely not millenials.
