Having more press conferences, communicating about injuries, open practices.... those don't really connect people to practices. A certain % of people on this board for example would never or rarely be able to attend a practice.

When people talk about being disconnected, I would hazard that it revolves around having a year or more that is average or worse. People became less connected during Beamer's later years which is a different way of saying they were losing interest. I bet people were connected during Fuente's first two years when he won 9 and 10 games.
