Used to know someone who worked in the Commonwealth Attorney's office


in Roanoke. She had tons of dumb crook stories. Also mentioned two other things about criminals I'll never forget:

1- The overwhelming majority of our law enforcement techniques really do rely on the fact that most crooks aren't that bright.

2- The conviction rate at the CA's office would probably drop from 70%ish down to the 20%ish neighborhood if people who got arrested would...just...shut...up.
