VT moves up to 12th in NWCA Coaches Poll ....


VT moved up one spot due to Wisconsin's recent losses; however, Pitt closed to within 1 point of VT (214 to 213 points) even though they got hammered by Oklahoma State last week. I guess getting hammered can help, must be RPI-related (actually not).

VT has wins over two ranked teams (#21 Princeton and #25 UVa) and losses to #5 Missouri and unranked Northwestern. VT has 6 ranked teams left on their schedule (four at home) including the following:

#8 NC State
#10 Cornell
#13 Pitt
#17 UNC
#24 Lehigh (they are just rounding back into shape after many injuries this year)
#25 UVa
