I was an altar boy. I believe the Bible, and most religious texts are great

guide-books about morality. Honestly, it can be summed up with the golden rule, "do unto others, as you'd want to be done onto you".

That said, there are too many BAD things in the Bible (read it sometime), and mental hula-hoops I have to do to believe in a God. Also, it's been used, as other religious texts have (Quran, etc.) to do a lot of harm to everyone. If it is true, there are a lot of people who go to church every week who are going to find themselves right next to me in Hell with how they treat others.

Anyway, if you just treat others well, then I think that's a life well lived. I can live, and die with my head held high. I don't need to convince, sway, and wrangle others to live/believe what I do.
