It was not about other kids not stepping up. Yes if you are talking about Magarity missing a bunch of shots. But when Emery is shooting all the time, it is hard for others to shoot. Yes, others had the ball in their hands at times and could make decisions like shooting. But anytime Emery was getting the ball, she was going to shoot or drive. Shepherd was a non-factor. She was bad on defense. Made a 3 and then missed 1 or 2 others. Mabrey took 2 shots I think after the 3 she made to start the second half. So yeah, maybe they shoot rather than pass to Emery... some did turn the ball over on drives or weak passes but there was no balance to the offense late other than Emery attempting shots and Magarity throwing some things up on turnarounds in the lane
