Coaching your kid
I've seen it go both ways - playing favoritism or being too hard on one's kid. I've been in that position and was probably too hard, expected too much, from my son. I had an assistant coach tell me to "lighten up" on my kid. I had to back off and stop being so critical and continuing to coach him off the field. Not sure of the situation with WBB, but I do know it is difficult to strike a balance. It may take an assistant coach stepping in to offer a reality check.
