...do it. Big , small...it doesn't matter , it will be appreciated more than they will ever be able to show you. I speak from personal experience of receiving that diagnosis and they are in for a tough road ahead emotionally and physically. Having a strong support structure is vital. I pray his outcome is as good as mine has been.
