I'm finally getting to use my new desktop PC I got for Christmas...
The family went in for the parts and my nephew built it.
I didn't get it until I got home and it was a big surprise for me.
Man this is such a big upgrade over my 7 year old desktop which died before Christmas...overkill actually but IIWII.
Thermaltake mid tower
Thermaltake 850W Bronze P/S
Ryzen 7 2700 CPU
MSI Tomahawk motherboard (It's been years since I've had a MSI mobo...I've used either Asus or Gigabyte)
16 gig HyperX Fury DDR4 3200MHz
Crucial 1TB MX500 solid state drive.
MSI Radeon RX570 v/c
I'm not a gamer but I rekkin' that's what they want me to do. 😊
I took my 500gig Mushkin ssd (my Win 10 boot drive) and cloned it to the Crucial drive...then wiped the Mushkin drive.
I also took my 250gig OCZ ssd that is my Linux boot drive and installed it.
Everything booted up fine, I went thru Kinguin.com and bought a Win 10 Pro license for $30 and it all went smoothly. Updated MSI drivers and no problems.
The Linux boot disk I had to reinstall with new drivers.
This thing screams. I'm going to have to find something to give it a workout.
I'm convinced that my new laptop will be a Ryzen one.
