You, unintentionally i think, make a good argument that these laws are use

Ful.
The fact that TSA has not caught a terrorist doesnt mean that it hasnt worked. Made me think, there are times, such as the "shoe bomber" that have tried to commit terrorist acts. Every time there is knowledge or word of a potential attack, rules are changed.....and some would argue....which prevents thst type of attack from happening.
Shoes are now checked.....therefore, someone that may have thought a shoe bomb was a good idea, has one less option. Most people that want to bring down a plane, i would think, know they cant sneak a bomb in their shoe or bring a knife, or whatever past TSA checks....which would mean, the more regulations prevent more threats.

For me, my 15 rounds is less about keeping my family safe (i can defend my home with 2 10 round mags). Its more about going to the range for target practice and having to reload less often while the range is hot. My wife has a little .22 that has one 10,round mag, and i feel like i am constantly reloading that.
