My Dad was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 sarcoma. The cancer has spread to all five lobes of his lungs and to his hip bones and femur. To say the least.. he is terrified. He is a longtime VT fan and some of his favorite memories are going to games with my younger brother and I (I'm the VT grad in the family). He's always admired Frank Beamer and the way that he's carried himself on and off of the playing field. My brother and I are trying to think of something unique that may help to lift his spirits. I know that Frank himself battled cancer a few years ago.. so I am trying to find a way to send a message to the VT Athletic department or to get the message to the right person in an effort to possibly have Coach Beamer write a short inspirational message to my Dad.. or come up with something else that would help him out.

If anyone has any connection.. or any suggestions of how I could go about making this possible for my Dad I would be forever grateful to you.
