Charlotte will be tough. They were # 14 in the final poll (we were # 24)


As you noted, it will help that their leading scorer (Bruce) picked up those two yellows in a span of 3 minutes last night. I would think he will be a big loss (he scored against VT in the 2016 NCAA tournament.

It also shouldn't hurt that they had to play the 2OT game on Thursday, and then come back on Sunday.

For those that don't know, VT and Charlotte have a recent history.

We beat them at Charlotte in the 2nd round of the 2016 NCAA tournament 3-2 on a late goal (Charlotte was the # 10 seed in NCAAs that year).
We also tied them 0-0 in late October 2016.
In 2015 they hammered us 5-0.

Going back a little more, Charlotte made the NCAA championship game in 2011, losing 1-0 to UNC.
