the students were requested to make a few comments about their cadaver. Here are my daughter's comments.

To our donor,
We want to thank you for giving yourself so vulnerably and so selflessly all for the sake of our learning. The extent of your sacrifice has not been unnoticed, and we are so grateful to you. Without you, we would never know the intricacies and true beauty of the human form. We would never have been able to experience the feeling of reverence and awe of holding a brain, or been able to understand the complex pathways of the vessels coursing throughout the body, and how every little thing works to come together to create such a complex and functioning system. I’m sure we will all never forget the experiences that we had in the lab with you, and we will be better doctors because of you. We never knew you in life, but we can certainly say that your sacrifice has carried on even after death. We want to end our experiences with a quote by Mother Teresa that reflects our feelings.

“We ourselves may feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. “
