My understanding is that it keeps the red shirt in play if the coaches


decided to have the wrestler Red Shirt... If they are attached then the wrestler is linked on the active roster and no Red Shirt... Basically, so that teams with multiple wrestler at given weigh can wrestle in preseason matches...
