Yes, a bunch of old rivalries were ended in the age of conference expansion and realignment. Alot of the expansion was determined by TV markets & TV money.

Nebraska/Oklahoma, ATM/Texas, and WV/Pitt, among others...they were casualties of TV, in my view. I guess TV is why Maryland left the ACC (wonder if they regret that now).

I miss the old days. I was at Tech in the late 80's. Things felt more pure back then.

One thing I hate about the ACC is that we went too far north. I will never consider BC & Syracuse as "conference brethren". I wish we had gotten WV instead of either of those schools.
