You nailed it. In the coach-speak, they've been giving us those signals all
year. I suspect the coaches have known all year what kind of team & players we have (talented, but young - which means inconsistent & still needing to learn a lot).
As a former coach & teacher, I believe that our coaches are doing all they can: which is to work with what you've got (rather than crying about what you don't have) and try to make them better. Keep teaching, but there is no shortcut to experience. Only time provides that. To state the obvious, that's why generally players get better with each year.
The program is improving. The seeds are planted. But it takes time to bear fruit.
