Could the answer simply be that we are extremely young on defense? We lost three starters from last years team to the NFL, two of who were 1st round picks. University of Michigan lost five games last year and that team was young on D last season. That team is much more experienced now and the results different. Again not making excuses but young defenses need to grow and will be exposed. Is this a reasonable explanation?
