These kids aren’t being forced to play against their will. If they don’t like it, don’t play.

Also, if paying players with money well beyond stipends is the way the NCAA eventually goes, they shouldn’t be allowed to get free tuition, too.

As for getting paid, the money will need to be capped as well. Paying players will turn into a nightmare for VT because we don’t have the finances to keep up. Even if you got paid based on tuition alone, private schools would be able to pay twice as much as many public institutions. Even with a nice round cap, VT will struggle unless the ACC Network really takes off next year.
