If that's how it played out, I'm totally with you.
A heads up phonecall could have saved us all a lot of back and forth.
That said, I'm working on the assumption ECU & Tech did exchange a bunch of calls, and ECU was left with the impression Tech wasn't going to take no for an answer on Tuesday, period. Thus, ECU announced unilaterally. I'm not arguing they handled it well. I'm saying they were simply backed into a corner by time & circumstance. It's an unquestionably poor way to break the news, and Whit is justifiably upset. It makes everyone involved look bad.
