Two thoughts on this

1 - The meme that Nike got the slogan right, but just got the picture wrong...then showed a pic of Pat Tillman...was awesome.

2 - I honestly think this was so incredibly mishandled by the NFL, NFLPA, the media, POTUS, and everyone in between. Kap started doing it to highlight that there are still some police officers who notice and react to a person's race. I would hope we could all agree that is an issue that needs to get fixed. Instead of this turning into a huge kerfluffle over standing vs. kneeling for the anthem, this was a great opportunity for the NFL and NFLPA to work together and raise money to both educate/train officers and do some PSA's about how to behave when confronted by an officer and maybe do some actual good in this country. But instead of taking an opportunity to do some good, everyone turned this into a question of whether kneeling is appropriate free speech vs. disrespectful to our country. It never should have been about that at all.

And now the issue is so blown up, any attempt to take sides on the issue automatically pisses off the other half of the population.

Now that I think about it, Nike is sticking their neck out much further than Kap ever did.
