Team chemistry is a weird thing

I used to be a high school teacher, and one of my good friends was the baseball coach. One year he had a very talented team that made the playoffs, but only lasted a couple of rounds or so. One of his pitchers was drafted by the Yankees that year.

The following year, after losing a ton of that talent, the team won the state championship. I asked him after they won what the difference was, and he cited team chemistry. The more talented team, on paper, didn't have it, but his championship team did.
