If you know the guy that wants it isn't "your guy". Be man enough to look him in the eye and tell him why. Don't give him an interview knowing you ain't going to hire him. I think Bud respects Whit more because of that. Also letting Bud know he was a priority by setting up the Fuente meeting was also a good move. The bottom line is people respect honesty.
