Whit might even be able to fire Buzz WITH cause and possibly sue (and win)
against Buzz and/or TAMU. But he won't do that, because he could say goodbye to 1. ever hiring a decent coach again and 2. ever working for another P5 athletic department.
Whit has no available courses of action other than to start his coaching search early and hope Buzz holds the 2018/2019 team together, then cross his fingers that someone actually does hire Buzz away after this season.
It's not unlike the situation FSU found themselves in with Jimbo (successful coach that had worn out his welcome, that they couldn't reasonably fire). TAMU bailed them out, so hopefully they do the same for us.
