My "millenial" thought on it:
Same reason we're aren't buying diamonds or houses. We're broke. College doesn't cost 1000$ (or 100$ I don't know how old some of you are) anymore. The vast majority of us don't have 500-1000$ to donate to a school we just paid 50-100k to. I remember back when tickets face value was 28. Then 31. Then 45. Now they are like a hundred a game or something? I don't mind dropping that for a game maybe two a year, but donating just to buy tickets isn't really an option. Don't get me wrong, it's not just tech... College football has priced itself out.
