However, it marks the approximate time we all quit believing and finally put the '99 hangover behind us.

After '99, most felt we were in the verge of something.that "land" was near to make an old sailors analogy. Juuuust a bit more.but the golden cup remained well out of reach.

Well, we never hit land, and it became obvious we probably never were. Painfully obvious. Big stage loss after big stage loss reality was pounded into us.

I think watching perennial underachiever Clemson snort once and zooooom by us after owning them was also quite sobering. It was for me.

99-2011 were magical years for the fan base because we believed. Hard to imagine them coming back.

Bit I think all the excuses are just that. We dont believe anymore.
