That's a great post.

Today's players are unbelievably talented. Last night's game was amazing. I don't see how anyone can complain about GS's style of play, though Houston/Harden/Paul can be annoying.

Still, the NBA has many problems, most of which could be fixed. And one important one that can't:

Too many games! Most of the regular season is meaningless. A 40 game season would be much better. But it won't happen.
Too much palming/carrying the ball. You never see it called any more, and it happens on almost every cross-over. In college ball too.
Defensive three-second call is obsolete with all of the three point shooting.
If the offensive player forces the contact, the ref should not call a foul. In the NBA, if the contact is 80% from the offensive player and 20% from the defender, they call it on the defense. That's not how they call international ball. The defender should at least be the primary initiator of the contact before a foul is called.
The players are too good! They can't be defensed within the rules. The refs could call fouls on every play, usually several. Don't know how to fix that one.

That's why I think the game is actually best at the high school level.
