Bittersweet moment to be sure. I coached him from the age of 4 until he got to high school. He played every spring, many falls, and umpired both spring and fall so seeing him remove the spikes for the last time will be painful (for Dad anyway - I think he is more than ready).

Of course, to make matters worse, we did the senior night ceremonies and then the massive storms hit and we sprinted to the parking lot - hopefully the game will be rescheduled.

On the bright side, perhaps next spring I can actually play golf!
