Sort of. When I got married, my wife's dog was about 6 years old

He had been skunked twice (in the Adirondacks of NY) before we ever met. Then one night when we were dating she calls me. She was at her parents that weekend, and she let the dog out before bedtime. 30 seconds later he's charging back to the back porch door, scratching like crazy at the glass to get in.

This dog (1/2 Golden, 1/2 Great Pyrenees) was about the most calm and gentle dog you ever met, so having him hyper like this was really unusual. She opened up the door and BOOM...he flies into the house, skunk smell all over him.

This was November. In Syracuse. Giving a dog a bath in November in Syracuse isn't fun. I was pretty glad I WASN'T with her that night.
