I think Coack K is going to retire really soon

He's a great coach and has embraced the one and done era, however I don't think he enjoys it. And, his back is really bothering him to. Probably all related.

With his back, you can tell how bad it is because he walks around so stiff. The worst I saw it was last year at our home game where he could barely move. Since my wife is a Duke fan, we went out to the team bus and he struggled to walk up the stairs. Later that weekend he announced he was taking a leave of absence to get his back better.

And, back to his players, Grayson Allen just finished out his eligibilty after 4 years and I'm not sure there is any upperclassmen he would feel compelled to coach.

While he gets the best one-and-dones in the country, its very difficult to get them to buy into the team and there's not much you can hold over them because they know their gone at the end of the season regardless. So he does the best he can, but he doesn't need to win another game to secure his legacy.

My guess is he retires within two years and wouldn't shock me if he does it this offseason.
