I checked some NBA mock drafts for 2018. In one of them, there were 5 Duke players in the top 25! That's outrageous. And of course MB3 is a potential national player of the year. With essentially a squad of NBA players, Duke couldn't even get to the final 4. Last year was even worse. Duke had 3 first round picks and the first pick in the second round along with the tripper (#25 in one NBA mock draft). Again, essentially a team of NBA caliber players and they lost in the second round of the NCAA. Perhaps the "one and dones" need to rethink the assumption that Duke will always make deep runs int he big dance. I see that K has lined up another large group of potential "one and dones" to take the place of this year's mass exodus of players. I can't believe it is very rewarding, other than getting wins, to coach a team of players who are just passing through.
