And what about NC State?

I assume that NC State is going to see a sizable drop-off next year as they lose six NCAA qualifiers to graduation. Like Tech this year, the Wolfpack will have a lot of first-time starters next year. I think they should continue to do well in a rebuilding year, although I think they may fall back further than we did this year just because of the number of departures. They lose Jack, Renda, Machiavello, Boykin, Donahue and Hamann.

But Pop has built another ACC program with strong legs, and they should be really good again the following year. Wilson's run at 133 remains mind-blowing. And Hidlay is the real deal, no question. A top ten finish seems unlikely to me unless both Hidlay and Wilson carry the team with deep runs again next year. I'd put money on Hidlay, but not Wilson.
