Thursday night, On3 put in a prediction for Toibu “Tobi” Lawal to transfer from VCU to Virginia Tech. On Friday, that prediction came true. Lawal is 6-8, 200, can defend the four or the five and he has two years of eligibility remaining. He’s a very raw player from London, England, but he’ll be one of the freakiest athletes to ever put on the maroon and orange. VCU reported him as registering a 49.5” vertical jump during preseason testing, and his highlight tape is a mix of crazy dunks and blocked shots. His explosiveness is evident.
