Coming off a 70-61 overtime victory at then-No. 24 North Carolina on Sunday, No. 16 Virginia Tech is back in The Triangle on Thursday for a rematch with No. 3 NC State. Pam Ward and Stephanie White are on the call at 8 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
The Hokies (18-4, 9-2 ACC) have won five straight games, two of which came on the road against ranked foes, and control their own destiny from the top of the ACC standings. The Wolfpack (20-2, 8-2) have two blemishes on its résumé this year: the Hokies and Miami.
When the two sides met on Jan. 7, Tech’s Elizabeth Kitley hit a game-winning buzzer-beater in front of the first-ever regular-season sellout in Cassell Coliseum to beat the No. 3 Wolfpack by one, 63-62.
