Andy Bitter went over Virginia Tech’s post-spring depth charts in a pair of articles covering the offense and defense. Today and tomorrow, I’ll follow that up with my own thoughts about where the Hokies stand on both sides of the ball, position-by-position.

For purposes of this article, I’m only going to mention the true freshmen who were enrolled at Virginia Tech in the spring because more is known about those players at this point. Tech had enough wide receivers step up this spring that I don’t think it’s likely that a summer enrollee like Chance Fitzgerald will make an impact this year, nor do I see any of the other summer enrollees on offense factoring in. Defense is another story, but we’ll get to that tomorrow.
