Virginia Tech invited the media to chat with its football assistants before the Miami men’s basketball game on Tuesday night. Chris Coleman and I were both in attendance for Tech Sideline.
We had the opportunity to speak with eight coaches, four on each side of the ball. Cornerbacks coach Derek Jones was unavailable on the defensive side, and quarterbacks coach Brad Glenn was not in attendance after accepting the offensive coordinator role at Cincinnati earlier that afternoon.
On Thursday, we went over the defense. Today, we’ll discuss the offensive coaches. Chris Coleman will have a column on Monday to explain what stood out to him during the conversation.

It was a tough season for Bowen and the Virginia Tech offense, which struggled for most of 2022. Glenn departed, too, meaning a new quarterbacks coach will be hired between now and the beginning of spring practice on March 16.
