Last week, we ran an article on offensive linemen in the transfer portal and how many of them have been able to play effectively at their new schools. On Wednesday, we’re going to use the same exercise to take a look at wide receivers who were in the transfer portal in the offseason and who signed with Power 5 programs.
To quickly recap the offensive line article…
1) 71 transfer offensive linemen were signed by Power 5 programs this past offseason. There are 65 Power 5 teams, so on average, each Power 5 program signed just over one transfer offensive lineman.
2) Of the 71 transfer linemen who signed with P5 teams, only 37 of them have played over 200 snaps in 2022. That comes out to about 0.5 offensive linemen per Power 5 team.
