- Small Forward
- Class of 2007
- Stone Mountain, GA (Stone Mountain)
- 6-7, 200 lbs
- Status: VT Signee
- Verbal Date: 2006-08-11
Notes:
Bell averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game as a junior. He projects as a small forward/shooting guard for the next level.
Comments from TSL Guru Rev. Zeke Vodka: Terrell Bell, a small forward, has an outside chance to end up playing some wing guard before his college career is completed. Bell has a nose for scoring and a nose for the basketball in transition, which he thrives in far better than a half court situation. His handling is steady and sure for a small forward and his passing is outstanding. Bell will make the extra pass in the half court and will get the ball to the open man in transition, something not all small forwards can do well. He has a pull up game and his three stroke is effective enough that he can impose daggers on a team that leaves him uncovered.
While Bell doesn't have that outstanding trait that jumps out at you, and he can use some additional weight and upper body strength, he is also a player that has a very nice tempo to his game. He is very unselfish -- sometimes to a fault -- and is the ideal kind of blend or chemistry to be a player who often makes the whole of a team greater than the sum of its parts. Watch for Bell to exceed many peoples' expectations while at Virginia Tech.
